Sri Lanka has been one of Asia's popular holiday destinations for decades. Perfect combination of natural beauty and rich historic heritage has continuously attracted steady flow of visitors every year.

Unfortunately severe domestic unrest that last for decades however has swept away Sri Lanka from the world's tourism map. The beauty of Sri Lanka was buried by debris and dust of horrible war and terror.

Peace is now returned throughout the country and development started to take place. Slowly tourists started to pour in. During the war Sri Lanka lost its development pace compared to its neighbors. But the government seems to stretch very hard to cope with rapid developments in every aspect, including tourism facilities.
